You hate the poor, preach what you don’t practise – CCC BoT member, Emmanuel Soyemi, chides Adeboye, Kumuyi, Oyedepo, others

A member of the Celestial Church of Christ Board of Trustees, Prophet Emmanuel Soyemi, has accused front-rank pastors of failing to practise what they preach.

According to the chartered accountant-cum-cleric, today’s tribe of pastors hate the poor,even when the poor give the little they have to them.

Soyemi made this known when asked what he would tell Pastors Enoch Adeboye,David Oyedepo, WF Kumuyi, Mike Okonkwo and EMF Oshoffa should he have the opportunity to sit with them in an interview monitored by RIFNOTE on Asabe Afrika TV.

He further added that contrary to the practice during the days of the biblical Jeremiah when God’s servants intervened in times of crises on behalf of nations, Christian leaders only enjoy themselves.

His words: “I don’t know the truth they want to speak to power. They don’t have any truth they want to tell anybody because they don’t practise what they preach. What I will tell them is that,Sir, my Lord Spiritual, you preach what you don’t practise. Why am I saying that? You know during the time of Elijah and other prophets in the Bible, they intercede on behalf of those nations. They prayed. What they preached was what they practised.

” But our leaders in Christendom preach what they don’t practise. That’s what I will tell them. Then,you don’t have love in your heart. You hate the poor. Yet the poor give the little they have to you. God put you there to intercede for the people and the nation. That’s what Jeremiah was doing. They are not doing what they are supposed to be doing but they are all enjoying.”
