A correspondent of Abubakar Rimi Television attached to the Kano State Government House, Naziru Idris Ya’u, escaped death on Friday evening following a stray bullet which hit him at the Government House.
The source of the stray bullet which hit the journalist around 6.30 pm, was yet to be found as of Saturday morning as both security agents and Government House officials have continued to keep mum on the incident.
It was gathered that Nazir Ya’u was immediately rushed to the Government House clinic ayfter the incident, where he received medical attention as a result of the injury he sustained.
Medical personnel at the clinic said the reporter was lucky because the bullet was not shot at a close range.
