An “apocalyptic” abandoned hospital frozen in time felt like a set from The Walking Dead, says an urban explorer.
Jay who travels America tracking down the country’s eeriest places for Jaysforbiddenadventures, was left shaking by what he uncovered inside a medical institution left untouched for decades.
Never before has he come across a deserted hospital with everything left as it was, let alone gruesome blood and urine samples he described in his video as “nerve-wracking”.
Jay told the Daily Star, that no amount of research could have prepared him for what lied within the walls of this forgotten about location.
Despite being boarded-up in 2001 due to financial reasons, nothing had been removed from the hospital, from defibrillators to x-rays and now very old-fashioned computers.
The 24-year-old from Colombus, Ohio, US said: “It felt like I was on a set for The Walking Dead or something.
“It was super Fallout 4 vibes, very apocalyptic, there’s a meme in the urbex community that you don’t go to state hospitals and typically that’s because state hospitals are cleared out.
“Well this hospital is 20 years old and it’s filled with everything yet there are other hospitals that are four months old that have nothing in.
“It was just really surreal to see everything left and I mean everything left, 21 years later, like that is unheard of.
“I’ve got a YouTube video on it and I actually think it’s the best video I’ve put out but yeah that hospital was just insanely intriguing because everything was left behind.”
