Giant 20ft wide sinkhole opens up on residential street in south London and swallows MOTORBIKE as police cordon off road

  • Emergency services were called to the scene on Martens Avenue in Bexleyheath just before 9pm last night 
  • Police and firefighters were met with the 16ft deep void and it has not yet been made clear what caused it 
  • Cordons put in place and remain there this morning, and there have not been any injuries, police confirmed

A giant 20ft wide sinkhole has opened up and swallowed a motorbike on a residential street in south London
