Teenage schoolboy is arrested after girl, 13, suffered serious brain damage and left paralysed when she was ‘dropped on her head’ on concrete playground

  • Neeka Atkinson, 13, was rushed to hospital and suffered a brain injury
  • She was on the playground of Archbishop Sentamu Academy when it occurred
  • A boy allegedly picked her up and dropped on on her head, according to family 
  • She has a ‘big’ blood clot and a bleed on the brain following the incident
  • Humberside Police said it arrested a teenage boy and released him on bail. 

A young schoolgirl has suffered a serious brain injury after she was allegedly ‘dropped on her head’ onto a concrete playground at a Hull school.

Neeka Atkinson, 13, was allegedly approached by a boy she didn’t know, who dropped her and then ‘walked away laughing’ at Archbishop Sentamu Academy on July 8.
