Fire crews have been called out to London‘s Trafalgar Square, as thick black smoke could be seen coming from a pub in the city centre, as people and a dog were evacuated from the building before the emergency services arrived.
Police and ambulance crews were also on scene, joining more than 100 firefighters and 20 engines as smoke billows into the air from The Admiralty pub, with flames originating in the basement.
In video from the area, fire engines can be seen parked in the central London hotspot, close to pub, just off the main square on Spring Gardens.
The number of firefighters tackling the blaze at The Admiralty pub has now been increased from 70 to around 125 amid ‘arduous’ conditions, the London Fire Brigade said.
An additional 10 engines have also arrived at the scene, bringing the number to 20.
