EXPLAINED: How to detect fake naira notes

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released security features information for differentiating new N200, N500 and N1,000 notes from illegal replicas.

Buhari Sallau, aide of President Muhammadu Buhari, in a Facebook post, shared images containing highlights of unique features for each new note.

This comes amid reports of infiltration of the new Naira notes which became legal tender on December 15.
