Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central has promised to present evidence to back her claims of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Speaking on Thursday’s Politics Today on Channels Television, Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized that the evidence would be presented “at the right time.” This comes amid ongoing controversy following her allegations, which surfaced after a seating altercation with Akpabio on March 6, leading to her suspension for “gross misconduct.”

The senator claims Akpabio made inappropriate advances toward her during a December 2023 visit to his Akwa Ibom home, implying that she should “take care” of him for favorable treatment in the Senate. Akpabio denied the allegations, stating, “At no time did I ever attempt any sexual harassment.” Akpoti-Uduaghan also dared Akpabio to sue her over the death threat allegation.
