Who could play David Beckham on screen? Victoria thinks Brad Pitt, but does David agree?

Victoria Beckham has playfully expressed that she would “love” to see Brad Pitt, 60, portray her husband, David Beckham, in a feature film about his life. However, the question remains: how does 49-year-old football icon David, affectionately known as ‘Goldenballs,’ feel about such an A-list casting choice? Would Pitt be up to the challenge of bending it like Beckham? The idea has sparked plenty of light-hearted speculation about who could take on the role of one of the world’s most famous footballers in Hollywood.

They are both considered two of the world’s most handsome men, so it’s no wonder Victoria Beckham would want Brad Pitt to play her husband in a biopic.

The former Spice Girl, 50, sat down for a live Q&A with legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour at Vogue’s offices in New York City yesterday.

Their wide-ranging conversation covered topics such as the star’s new docuseries, the fashion industry, her four children, and her marriage to David Beckham, 49.

In one standout moment, Wintour asked her: ‘When an actual feature film comes out on the Beckhams, not the documentary, what would be your ideal casting for you, Victoria?’

A flustered Beckham replied: ‘Goodness, I wasn’t expecting that question. I don’t know. Who do you think would be a good one [Anna]?

‘Well, I actually thought Margaret Qualley would be a good one, yes?’ responded Wintour.

‘And then what about David?’ the Vogue editor continued.

Victoria: ‘Oh my goodness, I don’t know. Oh my gosh, I wasn’t expecting this question. I mean, I don’t know, let’s say Brad Pitt.’

The audience laughed as the former Spice Girl said of Pitt: ‘He looks good.’

Wintour, who suggested that Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend, British actor Joe Alwyn, would have been a better match, was conducting a rare live chat for the Vogue YouTube channel, which will also be featured in Victoria’s documentary.

Elsewhere in the interview Ms Wintour, who shared that she had first met the singer turned fashion designer during a Spice Girls concert in New York in 1998, also revealed that Victoria has grown very frustrated with how she’s perceived in the US.

‘Victoria, you and I have discussed your slight frustration that you are seen here in the United States, particularly as a former Spice Girl,’ said Wintour. ‘So did this [new Netflix doc] come about because of a perceived lack of recognition for Victoria Beckham as a designer and an entrepreneur? Was it a way for you to set the record straight?’

‘I love to catch up with Anna,’ Victoria told the audience, which included Beckham. ‘We quite often have a very early breakfast, and you are always so kind and generous when offering advice and help…And I remember sitting in this office with you saying, ‘Anna, how do I tell my story in America?’
