SAHARA REPORTERS

A32-year-old Indian man identified as Kundlik Uttam Kale from Maharashtra’s Parbhani district, has burnt his wife to death for giving birth to three daughters.

The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday night in Gangakhed Naka, about 520 kilometres from Mumbai, The Times of India reports.

It was reported that Kale often argued with his wife, Maina, over having three daughters, as detailed in a complaint filed by her sister.

During one such argument, Kale doused Maina with petrol and set her on fire.

On Thursday night, Maina reportedly ran out of the house screaming, and neighbours attempted to extinguish the flames.

Despite the attempts by the neighbours to extinguish the fire, she suffered severe burns and died on the way to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Gangakhed police have reportedly arrested Kale on charges of murder.
