Freedom at last after 18 years – Fani-Kayode celebrates court victory over EFCC

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the court ruling discharging and acquitting of all criminal charges levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Fani-kayode thanked God for giving him his life back after 18 “long and difficult years”.

On Tuesday, the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, acquitted and discharged Fani-Kayode of medical forgery charges brought against him by the EFCC.

Delivering the judgment, Justice Olubumni Abike-Fadipe, held that the no-case submission filed by Fani-Kayode’s counsel proved that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against him.
