The People's Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Kaduna state, Rt. Hon Isah Ashiru, has picked former finance Commissioner, Dr. John Markus Ayuba, as his running mate for the 2023 general election.
Ashiru said in a statement issued by the party on Tuesday that Ayuba was picked after a wide consultation with various stakeholders of the party across the state, particularly those in the Southern Kaduna Senatorial Zone.
"This is to announce that the gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state, Right Honourable Isa Mohammed Ashiru has picked Dr John Markus Ayuba as his running mate for the 2023 election.
"This decision is as a result of a wide consultation with various stakeholders of the PDP, particularly those in the Southern Senatorial Zone," Ashiru said in the statement signed by the Special Adviser (Media & Publicity) to the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna state, Malam Shuaibu Gimi.
