Kano Governor-elect, Engr. Abba Yusuf, has extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim Umah and people of Kano for the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting. He also congratulated them on the occasion of Eidil-Fitr.
In a statement released on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor-elect emphasized the need for citizens to uphold the lessons of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism, and peaceful co-existence taught during the month of Ramadan.
“Ramadan has come to an end with the sighting of the crescent for Shawwal, lessons of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism, and peaceful co-existence it taught should be sustained by the citizens for a better society we all crave,” Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf said.
He urged the good people of Kano to pray for Allah’s guidance for the leadership at all levels, especially as the new government takes over on 29 May 2023.
The Governor-elect also assured the citizens of Kano that the incoming government under his watch will create an enabling policy environment for everyone to live in peace and harmony.
“Better days are ahead of Kano people as the incoming government under my watch will create enabling policy environment for everyone to live in peace and harmony,” he said.
Furthermore, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf admonished the citizens of Kano to remain patriotic and peace-loving while praying for the tranquility and prosperity of Kano and Nigeria at large.
He also cautioned against reckless driving and other unguarded Sallah celebrations with a view to ensuring the safety of all Kano residents.
