The suspension of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has created a buzz online.
Naija News reports that in the aftermath of the 2023 election, the former governor of Kano State met severally with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the poll winner.
Many Nigerians had anticipated that Kwankwaso would be among the cabinet members of President Tinubu, but it did not happen.
However, the Board of Trustees (BoT) of NNPP on Tuesday, suspended the party’s National leader for six months for alleged anti-party activities.
According to Television Continental (TVC), the suspension of Kwankwaso as the party’s national leader comes days after the National Working Committee (NWC) suspended one of the founders of the part, Boniface Aniebonam, and the National Publicity Secretary, Agbo Major.
The latest development has sparked reactions from many Nigerians, while some questioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the case of the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
