Diaspora Nigerians push for voting rights, appoint Gbandi as envoy

Nigerians in the diaspora have renewed their desire towards having a say in the choice of those entrusted with the leadership of the country.

To achieve the goal, the Nigeria in diaspora Africa (NIDOAF) has appointed Hon. Kenneth Gbandi to the prestigious position of NIDO Africa Special Envoy and Adviser on Diaspora Voting and Diaspora Commission Lobby.

In a statement by the office of the Chairman NIDO Africa in Liberia made available via NIDO Africa Liaison Office in Abuja,singed by Amb. Titus A. Alagba identify Diaspora Voting Advocacy as part of his duties.

It noted: “You will spearhead NIDO Africa efforts to lobby for the establishment of policies and initiatives that facilitate voting for Nigerian diaspora members.

” Your expertise will be crucial in engaging with relevant stakeholders, both domestically and internationally within the goals of NIDO Africa, to ensure the rights of Nigerians abroad are recognized and upheld.

“As an Adviser on Diaspora Commission Lobby, you will provide strategic counsel on issues pertaining to the Diaspora Commission’s establishment and effectiveness. Your recommendations and advocacy will contribute significantly to NIDO Africa´s position on the Commission’s establishment.

” As an Adviser, we will also be leveraging on your expertise and experience to help formulate and lobby for practical projects nationally and internationally for the advancement of NIDO Africa, Nigerians in Diaspora and Nigeria as a whole.”
