Poster: Ganduje speaks on contesting in 2027 presidential election with Uzodinma

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has responded to the appearance of a 2027 presidential campaign poster featuring himself and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma on social media. Ganduje, who is the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dismissed the poster as the work of mischief-makers in collaboration with elements of the Kwankwasiyya movement.

He accused these individuals of trying to create discord between him and President Bola Tinubu by circulating the 2027 presidential campaign poster, which portrays him and Governor Uzodinma as running mates.

The poster, which bears the slogan “For Nigerians, prosperity and human capital development,” suggests that the two politicians plan to run in the 2027 election on the APC platform.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje denounced the poster as “entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news.” The statement clarified, “This is to inform the general public that the posters currently circulating on social media, claiming that the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is contesting for the presidency in 2027 with Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as his running mate, is entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news.”
