Oyintiloye expressed disappointment that Nigerians had expected fuel scarcity to end following the removal of the fuel subsidy, but the opposite has occurred.
He stressed the need for urgent intervention from the President, citing the frequent suffering Nigerians endure almost every month due to the fuel shortages.
“Nigerians had anticipated that fuel scarcity would cease once the Federal Government eliminated the fuel subsidy.
“However, instead of seeing an improvement, the situation has deteriorated, forcing Nigerians to buy fuel at exorbitant prices,” Oyintiloye remarked.
He called on President Tinubu to investigate the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to identify the underlying causes of the recurring fuel shortages.
