Tinubu, Obi, Atiku, should step aside in 2027, they have failed Nigerians —Kenneth Okonkwo

Veteran Nollywood actor and former spokesman of the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council, Kenneth Okonkwo, has called on President Bola Tinubu, ex-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, and his LP counterpart, Peter Obi, not to contemplate contesting in the presidential elections in 2027 as they have all failed Nigerians and have nothing else to offer.

The actor who gave the charge while speaking on Arise TV on Wednesday, said plans by the opposition parties to forge an alliance towards the 2027 elections against the ruling APC will not work due to their past failure to form a consolidation and work together.

Okonkwo opined that it would be an impossible task to unseat Tinubu now that the judiciary has given INEC, who are card members of APC, the authority to do whatever they want.

He noted that the “APC is a nepotistic and despotic party of self-centred and egocentric people who do not hide the fact that they don’t care about Nigeria or Nigerians.”

The thespian particularly referred to Senate President Godswill Akpabio who last month was quoted as saying Nigerians can go out to protest while ‘they’ will continue eating.

Okonkwo also stated that with more opposition in the House of Representatives, they should be capable of changing the narrative but lamented that the leaders of their parties have failed them with their poor leadership.
