The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has expressed concern over the wasteful use of resources due to duplication of programs and projects by federal, state, local, and foreign governments.
He called for better coordination and harmonization of interventions by foreign donors to maximize the benefits of limited resources. Abbas also expressed concern about growing insecurity in Nigeria and pledged to collaborate with the United Nations to address security challenges and socio-economic impacts.
He called for better synergy between the federal government, throb-nationals, and the National Assembly. Abbas also called for inclusivity and stakeholder engagement in UN projects, urging local communities and traditional rulers to participate.
