President Bola Tinubu has left Nigeria for a two-week working visit to Paris, where he will evaluate his administration’s mid-term performance and strategize ahead of his government’s second anniversary.
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday left Abuja for a two-week working visit to Paris, France, to evaluate his administration’s mid-term performance and review ongoing reforms.
His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated that the retreat would allow the President to “appraise key milestones, assess reform progress, and strategize ahead of his government’s second anniversary.” The visit aims to “deepen reforms and accelerate national development priorities,” the statement added.
Tinubu’s convoy was sighted departing the Presidential Villa at 11:00 a.m. local time. Despite being abroad, the Presidency confirmed he would “remain fully engaged with his team and oversee governance activities.”
The trip comes as Nigeria grapples with economic challenges and policy shifts under Tinubu’s administration, including fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms. He is expected to return in about two weeks.
