Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has lost his son, sparking widespread grief just days after fellow actress Peju Ogunmola also lost her child.
Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, is grieving the death of his son.
The 54-year-old actor announced the loss on Saturday via his Instagram page, where he shared a photo of the boy without disclosing the cause of death. In his emotional tribute, Chatta wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
The announcement drew an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans, many of whom expressed prayers and sympathy in the comment section.
The tragedy comes days after Nollywood veteran Peju Ogunmola also lost her son, Ayomikun Oluwanisola. Tributes for Ogunmola’s son flooded social media on Tuesday, with actress Biola Adebayo describing the loss as “devastating and heartbreaking.”
She added, “May God almighty comfort Mummy Peju Ogunmola who just lost her only child. May God Almighty be with the family and loved ones at this tough time.”
