RFK Jr. plans a report linking prenatal Tylenol use and low folate levels to autism.
U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to release a report suggesting that Tylenol use during pregnancy may be linked to autism, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The report, expected this month, will also highlight low folate levels as a contributing factor and recommend folinic acid to treat some autism symptoms.
Tylenol, made by Kenvue, is widely used by pregnant women. Shares of Kenvue fell more than 6% after the news. Both the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Kenvue declined immediate comment. The findings could spark renewed debate over prenatal medication safety.
