Nnamdi Kanu: How IPOB leader was arrested

Daily Post

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was arrested by collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services.

Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice made the disclosure on Thursday.

The AGF said Kanu was brought back to Nigeria to continue his trial after disappearing while on bail regarding an 11-count charge against him.

The minister provided some details on how the Biafra agitator was arrested.

Malami disclosed that steps were taken by the Buhari administration to “intercept the fugitive Kanu on Sunday 27th day of June 2021.

“Nwannekaenyi Nnamdi Ngozichukwu Okwu-Kanu, born 25th day of September, 1967 at Afaraukwu, Abia State is a holder of Nigerian Passport No. A05136827 first issued 17th October 2013 at Festac, Lagos”, he said.

The federal government accuses Kanu of engaging in subversive activities that include incitement through television, radio and online broadcasts against Nigeria and state assets institutions.

The AGF added that Kanu instigated violence and killings, especially in the South-East.

The attacks, he noted, resulted in the loss of lives of civilians, policemen, military and paramilitary forces and destruction of civil institutions and symbols of authorities.

We the Group of Intellectuals: G-I fought for Kanu release from Kuje prison and told him it is Disintegration with War in which Biafra Republic of south east is one of the six sovereign states.

Kanu and his fraudulent Ipob fought against Biafra Republic of south east. Let the criminals who used Kanu to fight against Biafra Republic of south east release him from the hands of defeated fulani criminals. The ignorant fools making empty noise nickname Biafra Republic of eastern region.

It is Ipob affairs. It has nothing to do with Igbos of south east, it has nothing to do with Biafra Republic of south east. Majority Igbos of south east firmly stand for Biafra Republic of south east within Disintegrated Republics of this territory natives. Only the Sword decides.
