London weather: City awash with flooding and heavy rain
Various parts of London were underwater on Sunday afternoon as heavy rain came pouring down across the city. Footage posted to social media showed flooding on main roads, pavements and outside buildings from south west to north east.

Earlier this week, the British capital saw some of the hottest days of the year as the temperatures rose over 30 degrees Celsius. Now, the heat seems to be the least of the Londoners’ problems as some parts of the city were submerged in water and resembled the alarming images from the massive flooding which hit Germany and Belgium earlier this month.

According to the BBC, the London Fire Brigade has received many calls from residents reporting flooded basements and roads.
Heavy rain caused severe flooding in some parts of London on Sunday.
Officials have issued a warning to pedestrians and drivers against travelling in the “hazardous” conditions.
The Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary took to Twitter to warn drivers not to attempt to drive through floodwater.
