The Islamic State for West African Provinces (ISWAP) and the Boko Haram terrorists are collaborating to organise intensive terrorism training for bandits in Nigeria’s northwest.
According to PRNigeria, an online news website known for reporting terrorism, the intensive training is facilitated by ISWAP and Boko Haram commanders.
In a classified memo titled ‘Movement of Armed Bandits from Zamfara to Borno for Intensive Boko Haram Training’, the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) signaled its officials about the movement of the marauders to attend the training in Borno.
NIS urged its comptrollers to intensify monitoring and surveillance around areas in their jurisdictions.
Security experts have since established that bandits in the northwest and northcentral are collaborating with Boko Haram and ISWAP in the northeast.
The bandits known for cattle rustling are kidnapping for ransom and pillaging towns and villages, so far displacing more than 200, 000 people from their homes since 2011.
