Arrested notorious Bayelsa state kidnapper, John Lion has said that he made only N1.5m from kidnapping.
Recall that the kidnap kingpin was arrested on Saturday in Abuja by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
Naija News reported that the suspect, who was traced and arrested in Abuja, is among the kidnap gangs terrorising Bayelsa State and its environs.
John Lion, who was paraded alongside three members of his gang by the police at the Police Officers Mess, Yenagoa Bayelsa State on Monday said that from all the proceeds made by the gang that he was alleged to be leading, he only made N1.5m which, according to him was a gift from the group.
He said, “I was actually involved in this kidnapping of Danjuma but I was not aware that it is kidnapping. I was told they have a business together and that I should just tell them where he is staying. I was working in Sterling Bank as a cleaner. I left the bank in 2003 when I resigned.
