Men who drink Coca Cola and Pepsi could have larger testicles and higher testosterone levels, a new study has revealed.
Though it’s long been thought fizzy drinks can impact men in many ways, recent research has shown certain drinks can boost the size of your balls.
It may sound controversial, but a study conducted on rodents uncovered some pretty interesting findings.
It’s come after research was carried out by the Northwest Minzu University in China, as it was attempting to work out the impact carbonated beverages have on fertility and sex organs in men.
The study examined three groups of mice – one only drank water, a second consumed different levels of Coca Cola, while another drank the same amount of Pepsi over a period of 15 days.
During the investigation, the tests included weighing the rodents’ testicles and drawing blood.
According to news.com.au, the tests were carried out on day one, five, seven, 10 and 15.
It was soon revealed the mice drinking Coke and 100% Pepsi underwent a significant change to those drinking water.
The mice that consumed pure Coca-Cola displayed higher levels of the male hormone when compared to the others who had water.
In conclusion, the study recorded: “Drinking Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola could promote testis development and enhance testosterone secretion [ …] our findings provided the scientific bases and for fully understanding carbonated beverages effects and their mechanism on development and reproduction functions of humans, but also benefit to prevent prostate dysfunction and cancer.”
