The All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Niger state, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago has pleaded with the electorates in the state to vote for the party, insisting that the new Naira regime and attendant confusion and hardship is not in the party’s agenda.
Bago was quick to add that the new Naira regime is never in the agenda of the APC but foisted on Nigerians by President Muhammadu Buhari and few of his collaborators in the corridors of power to downgrade not only the party but the contestants across boards.
The APC governorship candidate spoke during an interactive session with journalists at the IBB Pen House, pleading with Nigerlites, eligible voters in particular to ‘endure’ the momentary hardship and frustrations as the trend will come to an end as soon as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerges President.
Bago while canvassing for votes for the APC Presidential candidate insists that only a government led by Tinubu as President and Shettima as Vice President can reverse the political and socio-economic confusions created by President Buhari.
Regretting that the Naira redesign or Naira swap is never in the agenda of the APC but known to President Buhari alone, Bago in disassociating himself and the party from the quagmire said only the President and others behind the monetary policy which has sent many Nigerians to their early graves.
Bago who promised to ensure that journalists were given their rightful place as members of the fourth estate of realm said he will build on existing cordial relationship in a government that would be more of citizens’ oriented if elected Governor of Niger state.
