The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, accused officers of the Nigerian army of allegedly killing armless Igbos who were protesting and demanding for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in Aba, Abia State.
A statement issued by the President General of the coalition, Goodluck Ibem described the incident which occurred on Friday as “wicked, barbaric, and lawlessness of the highest order”.
The coalition demanded the immediate arrest, sack and prosecution of those security agents that attacked the protesters.
“We call on the International Community, the United Nations and all lovers of democracy to take action against the perpetrators of this heinous act.
