Legendary singer Tina Turner has passed away at age 83, leaving fans devastated across the globe.
It was confirmed on Wednesday (May 24) by her spokesperson that the global hitmaker passed away near her home in Zurich after a “long-term illness”
She is well known for being one of the most famous names and had huge hits such as Proud Mary and What’s Love Got To Do With It?
However, her life has been far from smooth sailing and she’s faced her fair share of chaos.
The mother-of-four had a difficult upbringing as she suffered a violent marriage and battled numerous health ailments one of which left her unable to walk.
The Proud Mary singer is widely referred to as the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll and her name will go down on the list of music legends.
Having sold over 100 million records worldwide, received 12 Grammy Awards, and ranks among the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time by Rolling Stone, it’s hard to picture Tina’s tragic life behind the scenes.
