A woman who has turned 102 credits “good sexand good sherry” as the key to a long and happy life.
Joyce Jackman celebrated her birthday with a party and a cake at her care home in Thorrington, Essex, this month.
She said she “didn’t want the day to end” and, during the celebrations, the widow told staff the secret to a satisfying life is raucous bedroom activity and a regular tot of sherry.
The former RAF chef married her childhood sweetheart, Terence Jackman, in 1945 – the year the war ended – and, though they had no children, Joyce acknowledged their sex life.
Management at Silversprings, a Care UK home, said Joyce has a “fantastic sense of humour”…
