Church forced to re-bless altar after pop singer ‘grinds on coffin of dead exes’

DAILY STAR

Leaders of a historic church have been forced to re-bless the alter after it was used in a racy music video featuring a singer grinding on several pink coffins.

Singer Sabrina Carpenter had hired the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn, New York, as the backdrop for her new single Feather. The 24-year-old, who was wearing not very much, is seen throughout the video killing off exes who have “wronged” her, culminating in a lengthy scene on the church’s alter showing several pink coffins . . . which she starts to grind on.

One of the coffins even has the inscription “RIP B***h” written on it, and in one clip, she is even seen on her knees from a distance, in front of the alter in a very suspicious fashion. Although only around 30 seconds of the three minutes and 29 seconds long video show the church’s interior, it is the actions committed on the alter which have seen church officials outraged, and a top member of the religious team sacked.

Bishop Father Robert Brennan said in a statement announcing the sacking of Monsignor Jamie Giantiello, said: “The parish did not follow diocesan policy regarding the filming on Church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script.”
