Tesla chief Elon Musk and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos have been feuding publicly for years, but not many know that the two once met for a friendly dinner in 2004. A photograph from the meeting is currently going viral on social media – and it even captured Elon Musk’s attention, who reacted to it on X.

Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, two of the world’s wealthiest and most influential tech moguls, have been locked in a fierce rivalry for several years, frequently exchanging barbs on social media. However, the long-standing feud appears to be coming to an end, with both billionaires now exchanging congratulatory messages and hinting at a new, more harmonious relationship.
The two have known each other for over two decades, with one of their earliest interactions taking place in 2004. Musk recently shared an old photograph on his X handle, featuring him and Bezos enjoying a friendly lunch together. “Wow, a lot has happened in 21 years!” Musk wrote in the caption, reflecting on their long history.
This shift in tone follows a series of recent friendly exchanges between the two. After Blue Origin, the space company led by Bezos, successfully launched its New Glenn rocket on its maiden voyage, Musk quickly took to X to commend Bezos and his team on their achievement, signaling a rare moment of collaboration and mutual respect between the two tech giants.
“Well done, Jeff Bezos and the Blue Origin team!” Musk wrote, to which the Amazon founder also wished the billionaire and his team for the SpaceX launch. Additionally, Musk also shared a hilarious meme clip, defining his relationship with Jeff Bezos as stepbrothers.
