Tottenham are expecting to have Harry Kane fit and available to start in their Premier League opener against Manchester City.
Spurs take on Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions on Sunday as Nuno Espirito Santo takes charge for the first-time since joining the club from Wolves.
While Kane has only been training for a matter of days after an extended summer break following England’s run at Euro 2020 – the club want him to play.
That comes after he released a statement that insisted he would never refuse to train for Spurs – despite his desire to leave in search of silverware.
Santo has now said that Tottenham are expecting their star striker to be available, despite speculation over his future continuing.
That comes after Guardiola confirmed that City were keen on signing Kane, but admitted that Spurs were not interested in negotiating.
