Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Curtis Jones will not be available for Liverpool’s opening Premier League fixture against newly-promoted Norwich City.
The England Under-21 international sustained a concussion on Monday and was taken off during the first half of their pre-season clash with Osasuna following a collision.
While the German confirmed the central midfielder was now feeling fine, he subsequently revealed he would not be able to play at Carrow Road whilst observing the proper protocols.
“He had a slight concussion so we just have to follow the protocol,” the manager told Liverpoolfc.com on Wednesday.
“He is fine, he feels fine again, but that’s the protocol. He is available for training from Sunday on I think.”
