Romelu Lukaku admits Serie A is ‘tactically and technically a better league, but here in England, it’s all about the intensity’ after leaving Inter for Chelsea.
The Belgium international has completed his €115m transfer to Stamford Bridge, a club he already joined 10 years ago from Anderlecht.
Inter have essentially dismantled the side that won the Scudetto in May, selling Achraf Hakimi to PSG and parting company with coach Antonio Conte.
“I don’t really talk about my personal ambitions but they lean with the club’s ambitions. That’s why I came back,” Lukaku told the official club website.
“Chelsea wants to keep winning, keep growing as a club and really dominate in England and Europe. That’s something that I wanted and I’m here now so it’s up to me to help the team achieve its potential.”
Lukaku found the form of his life at Inter, scoring 64 goals in just 95 competitive appearances, along with 16 assists.
