Manchester United’s players have singled out one of their team-mates as a ‘teacher’s pet’ due to their regular starting spot.
Ralf Rangnick’s team selection in recent weeks is understood to be causing unrest amongst the playing squad, with resentment growing within the United dressing room.
The Manchester Evening News now report that one player has been dubbed a ‘teacher’s pet’ by his colleagues due to their role as a regular, as fringe players are becoming bitter at being overlooked.
Player morale is said to remain low, having been further damaged by Sunday’s humbling 4-1 loss away to fierce rivals Manchester City.
One source also told the Manchester Evening News that some players are finding it ‘bizarre’ that United’s season has begun to unravel in recent weeks.
Others have questioned the decision to hire Rangnick as interim in the first place, due to the German working as a sporting director in Russia at the time.
