Super Eagles star, Kelechi Nwakali, has revealed the reason why his contract was terminated by Spanish second-tier outfit SD Huesca.
The Spanish club announced that it parted ways with the 23-year-old on Tuesday without stating the reason for their decision.
“Sociedad Deportiva Huesca have terminated the contractual relationship maintained by the first team player Kelechi Nwakali with the Barca entity,” the club wrote in a statement.
“The club has informed the player of the decision to terminate the contract that united both in the current campaign but expired in June 2022.
“SD Huesca wishes Nwakali the best in his professional future.”
However, in a lengthy statement on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, the former Nigeria U17 captain accused the club of unfair treatment, leading to his departure.
According to the former Arsenal and FC Porto star, he has been under immense pressure since December 2021 when he was called up to join the Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations squad.
