With not much time left in the transfer window, Barcelona are hoping to conclude the exit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the earliest possible.
To that end, the Catalans are in talks with the 33-year-old’s agent regarding a potential move to Chelsea, while discussions are also being held between the clubs to agree a transfer fee for him, reports Nathan Gissing.
All parties hope to finalise a deal as early as tomorrow, which would enable Barcelona to register Jules Kounde in time for their next La Liga clash.
Chelsea are said to have tabled an offer worth €22 million in fixed payments and another €5 million in variables. Barcelona, for their part, were holding out for a total package worth around €30 million, but could be willing to change their position due to their desperate situation.
