Super Eagles ace Victor Boniface has been identified as a talent Premier League should keep an eye on by Daniel Sturridge.
Former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge has fingered Super Eagles star Victor Boniface as a budding talent that Premier League teams should pay attention to for acquisition.
The 34-year-old, now retired striker was a big talent in his youth but struggled to live up to the projection his gifts promised as he struggled with injuries.
He now works as a pundit and when asked which strikers outside the English top-flight teams in the league should keep an eye on, he mentioned two African Bundesliga stars.
What Sturridge said
In a conversation with another former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher, Sturridge was asked by the former defender to give Premier League teams scouting advice on attacking talents outside England.
Sturridge said: “Guirassy, who’s 2nd in goalscoring charts in Germany and Boniface, who’s at Leverkusen.”
Although Guirassy is no spring chicken, as he is 27, his brilliant goalscoring exploits for Stuttgart this season cannot be ignored, especially with the dearth of striker talents in the transfer market.
