DAILY POST
Real Madrid have decided not to sign Kylian Mbappe next summer, even if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
Mbappe has been the LaLiga giants’ main transfer target for years.
But according to CadenaSER, Madrid have ended their interest in the France captain.
As it stands, Mbappe is in the final months of his current contract with PSG, and the club has so far been unable to get him to sign an extension.
Even if he decides to leave, Madrid will not try to sign him for three reasons.
First of all, it is claimed Mbappe will demand at least €20 million per year at Madrid and a huge bonus if he were to join for free.
Los Blancos are now targeting younger players for their squad, as was the case with Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and incoming striker Endrick, while Mbappe will be 26 next year.
Thirdly, the massive contract PSG signed him to has caused some concerns at Madrid, with the club fearing spending so much on him would unsettle fans and cause economic problems.
