Euro 2024: Portugal game stopped four times by Ronaldo fans

Portugal’s match against Turkey in Euro 2024 was disrupted by four instances of pitch invasions from fans seeking selfies with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. One child, aged about 10, managed to evade security and posed for a photo with the player, causing the game to be paused temporarily.

When the child was led away by stewards, the crowd cheered. Later, a teenage boy tried to do the same but Ronaldo waved him away, and the match was delayed again as security tackled the pitch invader. These incidents created delays in the game and demonstrated the immense popularity of Ronaldo, even in the midst of an international football match.
