Real Madrid directs Adrien Rabiot to Manchester United as Perez shows mo interest

Real Madrid have reportedly instructed Adrien Rabiot to move to Manchester United, as club president Florentino Perez is not interested in keeping him. Rabiot, now a free agent after departing Juventus, could be set for a Premier League transfer, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham among the clubs previously linked to him.

The Red Devils are once again strongly connected with the French midfielder. They nearly signed him for free last summer before he opted for a one-year extension in Turin. Rabiot featured in five of France’s six Euro 2024 matches, missing only the quarter-final against Portugal.

At 29, Rabiot boasts 48 caps for France but was not part of Didier Deschamps’ World Cup-winning squad in 2018. He brings considerable experience, having accumulated exactly 500 senior appearances with Toulouse, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

With the recent signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro for a total of £88 million, Manchester United are now focused on selling players to fund further acquisitions. Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are among those reportedly up for sale as the club looks to generate funds.

There have been numerous links between Manchester United and Rabiot since his Juventus departure, and it appears a move to Old Trafford could be imminent.
