Tottenham pursue Wolves star Pedro Neto despite injury concerns

Tottenham are still keen on Wolves’ Pedro Neto as they look to bolster their squad with a new winger and striker before the transfer window closes.

Neto made an impressive start to last season, contributing seven assists and one goal in his first ten Premier League matches, but his campaign was derailed by a hamstring injury. The 24-year-old struggled to regain his form after returning and suffered a recurrence of the injury, ultimately missing 23 games.

Despite these setbacks, Neto remains a top talent when fit, and it’s no surprise that top clubs like Tottenham are pursuing him. Wolves manager Gary O’Neil recently acknowledged that a substantial offer from a major club could prompt Neto’s departure.

Wolves are reportedly open to offers around £60m for Neto this summer, and Tottenham are contemplating making a bid. However, Neto’s injury history makes the transfer somewhat risky, and Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou will need to weigh the decision carefully.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Neto is still a key target for Tottenham. Romano stated, “Pedro Neto is highly valued by Tottenham and remains on their shortlist. They might speed up their pursuit, with activity expected from next week.”
