Paris St-Germain have secured the signing of Benfica midfielder Joao Neves in a deal that could reach £60 million.
The 19-year-old Portuguese international, previously linked with Manchester United, has signed a five-year contract with the French champions.
Neves broke into Benfica’s first team in January last year and quickly became a key player for his boyhood club, amassing 75 appearances and scoring four goals across all competitions.
Neves’ arrival at PSG comes as the club aims to move forward following the summer departure of star forward Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.
“Joao is one of the most talented players in Portugal and internationally,” stated PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
