Kylian Mbappé scores in debut as Real Madrid win Super Cup

Real Madrid lifted their sixth UEFA Super Cup trophy after a convincing 2-0 victory over Atalanta in Warsaw, Poland on Wednesday. The highlight of the night was Kylian Mbappé’s stunning debut goal, which helped solidify Madrid’s triumph.

In the 59th minute, Federico Valverde broke the deadlock with a close-range effort, setting the stage for a memorable performance by the Spanish giants. Nine minutes later, Mbappé, who signed with Madrid last month, showcased his impressive striking abilities by firing the ball into the top corner off a well-placed pass from Jude Bellingham.

The 25-year-old French forward demonstrated excellent chemistry with his new Galactico teammates, Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo Goes, in a promising display of teamwork and skill. Following a slow start in the first half, Madrid’s quality ultimately shone through in the second, solidifying their status as Europe’s top club.

With their record sixth Super Cup crown, Real Madrid surpassed rivals Barcelona and AC Milan, who have each won the prestigious trophy five times.
