NAIJA NEWS
Former Chelsea midfielder, Florent Malouda wants the Premier League club to make a renewed effort to sign Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen when the transfer window reopens in January.
During the summer transfer window, Chelsea attempted to secure Victor Osimhen’s services, but negotiations fell short as the EPL side were unable to meet the financial demands of the player and the Italian side.
Consequently, the 25-year-old Nigeria international found a home with Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray, where he joined on a loan deal from Italian club Napoli.
Nonetheless, Malouda remains optimistic about the prospect of Osimhen joining Chelsea during the January transfer window, emphasizing that the striker possesses the necessary skill set to elevate the team’s performance and bolster their attacking options.
