Liverpool mounted a fightback to beat Brighton 2-1 and return to the top of the Premier League.
Two goals in two second-half minutes through Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah were enough to secure all three points for Arne Slot’s side.
The Reds return to the top of the Premier League, two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City after they lost 2-1 at Bournemouth.
Brighton started the brighter of the two sides at Anfield and went ahead through Ferdi Kadioglu after just 14 minutes.
A driving run from Kaoru Mitoma fell to Kadioglu who hit a stunning strike to send the visitors ahead. Brighton nearly doubled their lead when Georginio Rutter went clean through, but his shot was saved by Caoimhin Kelleher.
The Seagulls held a deserved lead at half-time, with Liverpool forced into a change as Ibrahima Konate went off and Joe Gomez replacing him.
Gomez nearly made an instant impact with his header but it went straight at goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. The home side then spurned further chances through first Virgil van Dijk and then Salah.
