Ruben Amorim will see to Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Manchester United future as a priority upon his arrival in England on Monday. The new head coach will first oversee his final Sporting CP match on Sunday evening.
United, themselves, face Leicester City earlier on Sunday. This will be Van Nistelrooy’s last in charge as caretaker manager at Old Trafford.
The Mirror reports that Amorim will meet with Van Nistelrooy urgently in order to decide how is best to move forward. Van Nistelrooy, himself, is open about what could happen.
“Let’s wait and see how that goes,” he said of meeting face-to-face with Amorim for the first time. “I am calm to be fair, I am trusting the process.”
Speaking in his final pre-match press conference of this mini-reign, he added: “I believe the outcome will be good because I believe that as long as there is no news, I am here at Manchester United, so that is my focus. I am calm in that sense and whenever the communication will take place, I will see.
