Alexander Isak admits he has no concerns over his Newcastle United future as speculation swirls over a possible St James’ Park exit.
The Swede may be tied down on Tyneside until 2028 but transfer talk persists after the Magpies failed to reach Europe last term. Isak has admirers at some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, notably Arsenal, but has recently spoke of his love for Newcastle, while Eddie Howe isn’t overly concerned over by any stuttering extension talks given the amount of time to run of the No 14’s deal.
Quizzed directly on speculation over an Arsenal move while away with Sweden, Isak responded: “Throughout my career, I have never talked about or really commented on the move rumours during the season. There have been many such years where it has been talked about. It doesn’t affect me.
“I am commenting on my situation in Newcastle, and I have never had any problem there. I am fully focused on my task there and that we will have a fantastic season. There are still great opportunities for that. I have no thoughts about anything else.”
